Just a small town girl

So, a lot of people probably wouldn’t think of Lima, Ohio, as the go-to place for a fun day out, right? But let me tell you, my boyfriend and I recently spent a whole day exploring our little downtown, and it was literally so much fun. There’s seriously more to do here than you might think!

We kicked off our day at this adorable spot called the Central District. It’s like a mini mall, but way cuter. There’s this boutique with the sweetest clothes, a bakery that smells heavenly, a soap store with

the prettiest handmade soaps, and my absolute favorite—Winans, a coffee and chocolate shop.

Now, me and my boyfriend are not big coffee people, but Winans totally won us over. I got this super refreshing peach juice and lemonade blend, and my boyfriend had a frozen hot chocolate with peanut butter. He’s still obsessing over it and won’t stop talking about how good it was! Plus, the people who work there are so nice, which made it even better.

After that, we headed to the local museum. My boyfriend used to go there when he was a kid, but it was my first time. It was honestly so cool! There were all these amazing exhibits and fun interactive stuff. We spent hours just wandering around and soaking up all the local history. It’s such a hidden gem for sure.

Right outside the museum, there’s this place called the Children’s Garden. It’s the cutest, most colorful garden ever, and it’s free to visit. There are adorable statues, beautiful flowers, and a lovely gazebo. We walked around, took a bunch of pics, and just enjoyed the peaceful vibes. It’s a perfect little escape from everything.

The best part of our day was checking out the new Spring and Main area. It just opened, and it’s amazing! There’s a rooftop taco bar, pin bowling, and an Italian restaurant. The whole place is lit up with lights at night, and it’s so aesthetic. Perfect for Instagram, obviously.

The whole area feels like a mini getaway, almost like being in Columbus or something.

This day out in Lima made me realize just how much my little town has to offer. From the cute shops and yummy treats in the Central District to the fascinating museum and the colorful Children’s Garden, there’s so much to do and see.

And with the new Spring and Main area, there are even more reasons to love Lima.

So, if you ever find yourself here, take some time to explore. You might be surprised by all the fun things you’ll find in this little town!
