CHRISTMAS!
Hey Ya’ll!
The best time of the year is finally here because
the Starbucks Christmas menu launched this week and that means it’s officially
Christmas time. As soon as I saw the red cups lined up on the counter, I could
feel the holiday spirit kicking in.
My favorite drink every year is the Sugar Cookie
Latte iced with almond milk. It’s the perfect way to start my day and truly
tastes like Christmas in a cup. There’s something about that sweet sugar cookie
flavor mixed with almond milk that just makes me happy. It’s light, festive and
a drink I look forward to all year long.
I’m also completely obsessed with the cup design
this year. The bows are everything to me and my girly Christmas heart is
screaming. The mix of bright colors and the little bow details are so cute and
festive. Starbucks always nails the holiday designs but this year they really
outdid themselves.
I will admit I was a little sad because with the
Christmas launch came this adorable bear cup that everyone was talking about.
Unfortunately, I was not going to be at the Ada Starbucks at 6 a.m. so I didn’t
get my hands on it. It’s OK though because it was $30 and I keep telling myself
I didn’t need it. Still, I really wanted it and I’m holding out hope they
restock it soon.
This weekend I’m heading home to decorate my
family Christmas tree, which is one of my favorite traditions. Every year we
all wear matching pajamas, drink hot chocolate and watch either “Home Alone” or
“The Santa Clause.” It’s the best kind of night and it always puts me in the
holiday mood.
There’s something so comforting about those little
traditions that make me feel like a kid again. Being in college, that’s a
feeling I’m always longing for. Between school, work and all the
responsibilities that come with growing up, it’s nice to go home and slow down
for a bit. Sitting by the tree with my family, sipping hot chocolate and
laughing at “Home Alone” feels like a reset for my heart.
So yes, the Starbucks Christmas menu is back and
my sugar cookie latte is in hand. The tree lights will soon be twinkling at
home and my heart is full. It’s Christmas time and I couldn’t be happier.
That's all for now!
XOXO, Mia Ann
